Experienced & Compassionate Care for the Childbearing year

It has been a joy and a privilege to serve families in the Triangle of NC for over a decade

I believe in creating a feeling of safety and warmth for all birthing families

I gave birth to my daughter at home, in water, in a yurt in 2008. It was about 20 hours from start to finish and was a manageable, peaceful, positive experience!

A few of my greatest accomplishments

doula stands over laboring mother supporting her

I have attended well over 150 births in the last decade as a professional doula. The first birth I ever attended was that of a friend back in 1999.

I am a homeschool mom and single parent. I view being a mom and teacher to my daughter as an enormous privilege. She constantly inspires me to be the best version of myself.

I am a passionate gardener with a strong affection for and connection to the healing properties of plants, especially the visual and energetic realms.

I lived in a yurt for several years while designing my passive solar home and building a small farmstead where I lived for 14 years.

“ On days I could not move

It was women

Who came to water my feet

Until I was strong enough to stand

It was women

Who nourished me

Back to life. ”
